My journey of becoming an instructional designer did not start with one specific event. Instead, it was a blend of my previous experiences, where every stage of life contributed to my current position.
My experience in programming helps me develop e-learning materials on product functionality. My problem-solving skills acquired through my customer support experience have shaped my methods of creating concise user-focused learning materials. Previous experience with product implementation helps me transform the experts’ knowledge into learning content based on best practices. I learned the incremental nature of progress through competing in sports. My interest in photography helped to develop my visual storytelling skills. Memories of my own struggles to stay awake during university lectures help me create engaging e-learning courses that keep people awake.
