The Problem:

Vorum is recognized for their innovative computer-aided design and manufacturing solutions for the Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) field. Facing rapid customer base growth, Vorum needed a scalable, standardized online learning platform that would help non-tech savvy clinicians successfully adopt a high-tech solution.

The Solution:

Working with Vorum trainers I created over 100 bite-size instructional learning videos, focused on the best practice product use. Setting up online learning portal provided a convenient way to access the content, set up learning paths and track progress. In addition, the newly created online courses offered clinicians industry-recognized continuing education credits.

The Impact:

Since deploying the solution, Vorum was able to complement their face-to-face training with a solid online learning program, reducing the front-end load by four hours per new customer.  Customers go through the basic software training at their own pace, while Vorum trainers focus their time on helping customers with more advanced clinical uses of the system. As a result, the company has enjoyed a much higher technology adoption rate and scaled their training offering without increasing the headcount.

In less than two years, the Vorum Academy has grown to include 17 courses on Vorum’s products and has an active user base of over 1000 O&P practitioners around the world.
